Super Eagles caretaker coach Augustine Eguavoen has emphasized that his team is determined to secure a win against the Cheetahs of Benin Republic.
Nigeria will face their West African neighbors in a 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo on Saturday (today).
This match serves as a rematch of the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier played in June, where the Cheetahs triumphed 2-1.
Eguavoen expressed confidence in his squad, stating that his players are fully prepared and ready to give their all to claim victory against Gernot Rohr’s side.
“Expectations are high, we’re at home, we’re in good spirit and we want the three points,” he told reporters.
“We will approach the game with all seriousness and we will do everything possible to win.
“It will be nothing but a win.”
